How the Carroll County guide is organized
Mississippi’s Public Records Act, Mississippi Code Sections 25-61-1 through 25-61-19, provides a framework for access to public records, subject to applicable exemptions. In Carroll County, the useful question is often which custodian holds the record. County booking and regional-facility custody are different from MDOC state-custody records and later court activity or dispositions. This site explains those distinctions, lookup notes, and request guidance without hosting photos or a roster of its own.
What this guide covers
The site is designed to help a reader distinguish an official custody question from a court question or a state-prison lookup.
- The home guide explains the Carroll County booking-record route, current-custody fallback, record requests, and correction or removal context.
- It explains why Carroll County Regional Correctional Facility in Vaiden is a regional facility, so its location does not by itself identify the arresting agency or court district.
- The Wanted Fugitives page describes the direct official warrant-check route when no public county warrant portal has been verified.
- The Arrest News page places local reporting in context and distinguishes selective news coverage from official booking records.
- City guides for Vaiden, Carrollton, and North Carrollton explain the local enforcement and records context for each place.
What this site cannot do
Carroll County Busted Mugshots is a privately run reference site. It is not connected with a Mississippi government agency, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Carroll County Regional Correctional Facility, or MDOC.
- It cannot hold, release, or transfer a person in custody.
- It cannot post a bond, arrange a visit, or send money for a visitor.
- It does not give legal advice.
- It cannot guarantee that an agency’s contact details, record availability, or procedures have not changed.
Only the relevant official office can confirm current custody, a release, charges, or the status of an official record. An arrest or booking entry is an accusation, not a finding of guilt, and every person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
Disclosure about search partners
Some site pages may contain a search tool operated by a third-party provider. That provider sets its own results, pricing, and data practices. If a visitor chooses a paid signup through one of those tools, this site may receive a referral fee that helps support the guide. We do not control a partner’s search results or charges.
